Play silks are great to use for small babies to swipe over their faces for sensory experience, for a bit older babies to  pull out of the box as well as for toddlers for imaginary play and dancing and older kids, the possibilities are endless!

This set of 6 bright silk square scarves dyed naturally with real plants - leaves, blossom, roots, natural extracts... Each color may be derived from several plants, some of them are available seasonally, so particular order will be made individually. 

Choose from 5 sizes - tiny handkerchief (11x11 inches or 28x28 cm), very small neckerchief (18x18 inches or 45x45 cm), small neckerchief (22x22 inches or 55x55 cm), medium scarves (29x29inches or 74x74 cm), large scarves (35x35 inches or 90x90 cm).

Scarves are made from Habotai silk 05mm - very soft, semi-transparent, airy silk.

All silk scarves are hand-rolled and handsewn. Every set will be done especially for You, so there will be some differences from pictures.

WHY TO CHOOSE OUR CRAFTS?
Only narural and safe materials are the best we can give to our children. Natural dyes are a renewable resource, used mordant is safe, and leftovers from the dyeing process can be put on the compost. 

Herbal dyeing is made by hand, in a small quantity, with the kind help of nature. It's an eco-friendly dyeing process without added harmful chemicals, just plants, and light mordant alum. All dyeing works are done in a small studio in the Baltics Sea region, Riga.

WHAT KIND OF SILK IS IT?
The silk comes from a German supplier, which produces silk fabrics in China and India. The fiber is boiled, then spun and woven, and after weaving boiled once again. 

All scarves are already hand-rolled and handsewn, so maybe some small deviations in the final size of a scarf - due to the dyeing process some shrinkage may occur.

CARE INSTRUCTION
Please, use a quick hand wash only in lukewarm water (do not soak) with one drop of very delicate detergent.

Do not wring or twist - roll in a towel to extract water. Iron while silk is a little bit wet. All items are washed for the first time after dyeing. So that the colors are fixed properly.

Please avoid the long contact with direct sunlight and household chemicals – salt, vinegar, soda, etc.- they could change the tone of the item.

Not suitable for frequent washing. Not recommended to put in mouth, chew and suck naturally dyed item.

We advise to keep naturally dyed items away from direct sunlight and daylight while not using them!
